Game Day: Bruins vs. Maple Leafs -- The 'This is awkward' game

Bruins are on a two game winning streak. Big win in the Filth and then a dominating performance against the Lightning. Even Tim Thomas got a point against Tampa. Marc Savard is back in action. Things are starting to look good in Boston.
Things aren't so hot in Toronto's Toyland, though. They got completely owned by the Oilers on Thursday. Fans and media are calling for Ron Wilson's job. Just go to Pension Plan Puppets and look at the front-page headlines -- that pretty much sums things up for the Blue & White.
Another Top 3 draft pick looks to be in the Bruins future if this keeps up. Bs looking to help out their own cause there tonight.
Really, this match-up could be one of those awkward "bumping into your ex moments." Leafs brass seeing Tuukka Rask in net (potentially -- he always brings his A-game against the Leafs) and Tyler Seguin take the ice and playing well; Kessel hitting the ice and disappearing like Houdini for what could be like the 100th straight time against Boston.
Patrice Purrgeron caught this moment in Toronto this morning. Awkward.
Who knew it was so warm in December up there?
Speaking of Kessel.
We're kinda hoping Maple Leaf fans, in a fit of frustration, start this chant tonight. That'd be win.
After the jump... stupid stat of the day... some of our favorite Phil Kessel pictures... Tuukka Rask Meltdown Update watch... projected roster... game day links... and your game day video...
Stupid stat to get you started
Bruins are 2-0, averaging 5.5 goals per game and have a 0.50 GAA since the Matt Hunwick trade. #reportinglikeNESN
Favorite Phil Kessel Pictures
Needs no introduction.

Why is he ignoring that hot blonde?

He looks like a rapist.

Look our for mono
And lastly... the winner:

Projected Roster:
No official word, but we're assume the same as against Tampa but maybe with Tuukka Rask in net. Like we've said, he always brings his A-game against the Leafs and Thomas could prob use a breather after playing back-to-back games this week.
Lucic–Krejci–Horton
Wheeler–Bergeron–Recchi
Ryder–Savard–Seguin
Marchand–Campbell–Thornton
Chara–Ference
Seidenberg–Boychuk
Stuart–McQuaid
Rask
Thomas
We're starting today's Tuukka Rask Meltdown Watch at the mid-mark. Bruins need to give him some offensive cushion. Hopefully there's some goals left in the tank after the Tampa shelacking.

Game Day Links:
- Tyler Seguin is eager to return home... oh, and kick some ass, too.
- TheBruinsBlog.net talks about the draft implications of tonight's game.
- ESPN Boston: Savard feeling pretty good after his first game on the ice. Good.
- Sturm's just rolling with the punches about his trade/no-trade situation. Great guy. Good head on his shoulders. We'll be sad when he is finally dealt, but it'll be the best thing for both parties.
Game Day Video:
Another Boston Bruins-Inception video, this one the official Bruins vid and compliments of the Wooing Scotsman.
