The Flith return to Boston since the Day We Dare Not Speak Of. We're assuming there'll be a shit ton of stories about that, so we won't mentioning it. We refuse to live in the past (when it sucks).
Also, announcers will probably talk about it every second they can get, so maybe be ready to hit mute early and often.
Flyers are fourth in the East; Bruins are fifth. Flyers have six points on the Bruins but have played three more games than Boston. Let's do the math: 3 x 2 (pts/game) = 6 pts. Big game for Boston.
Woke up this morning to see this:
Which means we get to use this graphic at least one more time... if not twice:
Hope you saved some eye bleach from last time.
Listen, we tried trading Sturm in NHL11 and no one wants him. If the Kings want his busted knees, we're all for it. Nothing against Sturm but it's for the best for the Bruins and him. Better than burying him in the AHL (which we did in NHL11).
After the jump... projected roster... game day links... and your game day video...
Crying over spilled milk
Some people, apparently, are upset that Tyler Seguin won't be joining Team Canada at the WJC. We're still not entirely sure why anyone would be upset over this, but apparently there are. Apparently Tyler's 10 pts means he's no good in Boston and he should be playing in the WJC -- forget the fact that 1) Bruins want him in the line-up and 2) Seguin has been quoted saying he doesn't want to play in the WJC.
People who are shitting themselves over this are borderline retarded and shouldn't be allowed to comment on hockey.
Projected Roster (per Boston.com):
Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Blake Wheeler-Patrice Bergeron-Mark Recchi
Tyler Seguin-Marc Savard-Michael Ryder
Brad Marchand-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton
Zdeno Chara-Johnny Boychuk
Dennis Seidenberg-Steven Kampfer
Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid
Game Day Links:
- Johnny Boychuck is stoked about the moves the Boston Red Sox have made this fall/winter.
- Marc Savard is working back to full strength and testing his patience along the way.
- The Tampa Bay Lightning are a bunch of cry babies... apparently fancy shoot out moves are against some unwritten rule. Dan Ellis is just annoyed that he got caught thinking about his escrow account instead of stopping a five-hole shot.
- Rask and Seguin comment on Omark's shoot out move... spoiler: he has balls.
