The Bruins regular season is finally starting and we're feeling giddy as hell. Too bad it's way over in Prague and we're stuck here. But hey, on the plus side, NESN is extending us the courtesy or airing the damn thing so at least we can watch it. Thank you, oh generous hosts, what would we do without you??
Oh yeah, it's on Versus too apparently...
Side note: Am I the only one who actually liked this logo for the
In all seriousness though, we could not be more pumped to see the black and gold hit the ice again. We certainly liked some of what we saw during preseason and can't wait to see what Horton, Seguin, Lucic, Bergeron, and all the rest bring to the table.
After the jump, some more ramblings, links, and video.
Bruins ended their preseason 3-3-1 while the
Jets Coyotes had a much more impressive 5-2-1. Overall since the Phoenix Coyotes de-evolved from Winnipeg in 96, the Bs are 7-7-1 against them. Not like these number really mean anything though, the only then that matters is if Boston can manage to put enough shots past Bryzgalov. Oh yeah, and if they beat the hell out of them in the process.
We hope to see lots of this in the "Check" Republic
Not 100% sure of the lines we'll be seeing. Lucic-Krecji-Horton as the top line is pretty definite. Seguin has been put back to Center it seems, we can only hope they don't decide to pair him with Ryder again, nothing worse than wasted talent. Expect to see Rask vs. Bryzgalov in net tonight.
Game Day Links:
- Cannot recommend Joe Haggerty and Mary Paoletti's coverage of the Bs overseas for Comcast Sportsnet enough!
- If you haven't checked out Days of Y'Orr's Unfinished Business yet, you should!
- Stan Lee and the NHL's Guardian Project seems pretty awesome
- Krecji is ready, are you?
