The Bruins travel to our nation's capital tied with the...err...Capitals 1-1 in the series. Kinda frustrating, and not because they lost on Saturday, I didn't expect them to sweep, but because they're locked in a goaltender duel WITH WASHINGTON'S 3RD STRING GOALTENDER!!! Props to Holtby for doing well I guess, but the kid must've been born with a horseshoe up his ass.
...This is usually about the time you would see a photoshop of Holtby with a horseshoe in his pooper, but the kid is so green we had a hard time finding a picture we can use. Instead enjoy this picture of Chara kicking Ovechkin down a hole.
Seriously though, it's time for the Bruins to start solving Holtby, if they can't do it, then maybe it's time they hire a private detective to take on the case. Someone smart, cunning, and has solved some mysteries in the past.
Actually...there isn't much of a mystery, the kid gives up rebounds like candy...Bruins need to start picking some of those up.
After the jump, the preview marches on.
There are a couple things I'd like to see tonight (aside from more than one goal a game). Some more net presence would be nice, some production from the power play would be nicer, and more of an effort from the top two lines would be nicest. Come on guys, you can't expect the 3rd line to score ALL the goals. Otherwise, I like the way the Bruins are playing, they really don't need to change much, especially if this physical style keeps going, Bruins can definitely outlast the Capital.
Tonight's the night I think we see the floodgates open a little bit more, predicting a 3-2 Bruins win (in regulation).
