The 2013 NHL Entry Draft has come and gone. If you paid attention during the weekend, Bob McKenzie tweeted out that Boston would looking to move Tyler Seguin and it sent Twitter and the pink hats into a tizzy. What came out of it? Nothing. Bob McKenzie did his annual "huge hockey trade" tweet and was dead wrong, just like he was dead wrong about Iginla and just like he was dead wrong about when the lockout would be over.
AKA Bob McKenzie sucks.
Also, the Bruins didn't have a first round pick this year because they sent it to Dallas for this guy:
After the jump, let's take a look at the Bruins draft picks...
Round 2, Pick #60 - Linus Arnesson
Height/Weight: 6'2", 190 lbs
A rather defensive minded defenseman with good mobility and size. Arnesson is not flashy at all, but always gets the job done. Has good positioning, makes easy and smart plays and rarely puts himself or his teammates in complicated situations. Has some offensive upside, and will join the rush at times, but it is his overall sound defensive game that makes him a stand out prospect.
Round 3, Pick #90 - Peter Cehlarik
Height/Weight: 6'2", 198 lbs
Found this little highlight package on YouTube. Kid isn't even 18 yet.
Round 4, Pick #120 - Ryan Fitzgerald
Height/Weight: 5'10", 176 lbs
Hometown boy, played at Malden Catholic - committed to Boston College - Freshman in 2013/2014
Round 5, Pick #150 - Wiley Sherman
Height/Weight: 6'6", 196 lbs
Kid is 6'6" and is 18? Good god. Looking at Elite Prospects, he's slated to play at Harvard University this year. So he's smart and a giant. Good on him.
One of DOY's favorite, Kirk Luedeke, did a quick analysis on Sherman:
Round 6, Pick #180 - Anton Blidh
Height/Weight: 6'0", 187
From Elite Prospects: A speedy and hardworking player. Good penalty killer. Solid team player. Always gives 100% and has great attitude and work ethics. (EP 2013)
Round 7, Pick #210 - Mitchell Dempsey
Height/Weight: 6'3", 209 lbs
Kid loves to scrap:
