VIDEO: Amateur hour at the Garden -- Bruins fans do the wave

Dumb Boston Bruins fans do the wave at the Boston Garden

Something I've never seen at the Boston Garden and never hope to see again. --Teskick (youtube)

While Patrice Bergeron was playing the role of the Mad Hatter, scoring hat tricks, fans at the Boston Garden turned the night into amateur hour by starting the wave.

The fucking wave.

The Garden isn't Fenway Park. Leave the cheesy baseball celebrations at Fenway, people. There's no room for that shit at the Garden.

We're not the only ones who think this.

We know the crowd was beyond giddy with Bergy bending the Senators over and the Bruins putting up six goals. But the wave? No. It's pathetic. It's an embarrassment. It's something Sabres fans would probably do, so check it at the door. The wave sucks.

If you need more reason to not be a tool and not do the wave at a Bruins game here it is -- people at Bieber and Jonas Bros. shows do the wave. (1) (2) (3)

Bergeron in your Mouth. Bruins Rail Senators.

Written by Jon on .

Wow. Didn't see that one coming. Bergeron took this game over early and never let up. It was ridiculous. Ottawa was completely outclassed from start to finish. Can't be long before they fire their coach. Or just shut down for the season. Bruins did what they needed to do... Ottawa is terrible and the Bruins came out and ruined their shit. Full effort from top to bottom for the Bruins.

Bergeron making a strong case for Non Tim Thomas team MVP lately. He's raised his game when the team needed him most. Common theme with Bergeron. What more can you ask?

Mark Recchi passed Ray Bourque on the all time games played list tonight. Not even sure the dead ages. Go Recchi.

After the jump, Bergeron, Marchand and Tim Thomas bend Ottawa over and have their way.......

Game Day: Ottawa vs. Bruins -- Building Momentum

Written by Justin on .

Game 42: Ottawa Senators vs. Boston Bruins, 1/11/11

Bruins are coming off a big come-from-behind win over the Penguins. We're still in shock-and-awe at what happened in those final few minutes. After blowing a lead with only three minutes left in the game, they came to win a game in the final three minutes.

Bruins are taking  on the Senators tonight who are hurting this year... again... what else is new. Hopefully the Bruins can build off their momentum from last night.

Chris Neil still sucks.

neilassanta
Lucic might be injured. No one knows. We just know he left the game last night pissed.

Chara and Thomas were both named to the All Star Game this year. Tyler Seguin will be one of 12 rookies to take part in the skills competition.

Tim Thomas All Star Mustache

Tim Thomas when asked what happens if he and Chara are on different teams at All-Star Game: "I win, he loses." -- This is from Doug Flynn on twitter.

After the jumps.... is DOY "angry" enough... projected roster (Horton back?).... game day links... and the game day video...

Bruins Do it Doggy Style. Comebacks for Everyone!

Written by Jon on .

No idea what just happened. What an end to that game. You'll see in our recap... as we were making our game notes while watching, we were bitter. After that meltdown against Montreal and a lazy first 50 minutes tonight, we weren't exactly thrilled with the Bruins. Nobody was. Any fan out there on their high horse saying they knew the B's would come back is a liar. We're not the type of fans that expect our team to win every game. We know that is unrealistic. But the lazy, uninspired play was frustrating to watch, especially after their collapse against Montreal.

For 50-55 minutes Rask had to be pissed. He let in one soft goal but had otherwise been stellar, but was seemingly on his way to another defeat. But just like that Rask was victorious. No one deserved the win more than Rask with all the bad luck he's had this season.

Then all of a sudden the Bruins exploded. It took them literally 12 seconds to tie this game and Recchi showed what a true leader is. It was like the light suddenly went on for the Bruins. And that is what is drives us mad this season..... through 55 minutes the Bruins really had no right winning this game and somehow they pulled it out. They'll have meltdowns like they did in Montreal and then pull a victory out of their ass. Crazy. We're still not even sure what just happened. All we know is that the Bruins won. We'll take those two points any day of the week.

After the jump, the Bruins don't want to win at all... oh hey just kidding! Comeback time.......

Game Day Preview: Bruins vs. Coo, er, Penguins

Written by Jon on .

So here we are. The game you've all been waiting for. If you came here looking for Savard-Cooke revenge coverage, we're going to go ahead and disappoint you.

Call us bad fans, but we're over the Cooke thing. It was cheap. It sucked. But there's two points on the line here for a Bruins team that has had trouble rising to the challenge for big games. If Bruins go in focusing on Cooke, they're going to lose.

From Boston.com:

"It's obvious that it's something that's hurt my life for a bit and put me through some tough times," Savard said of Cooke's head-hunting hit. "It's not easy. It'll be on my mind, but at the end of the day, I'm just going out with my team and trying to get points."

The story line of Cooke and Savard on the ice for the first time since the incident is definitely intriguing but the Bruins vs. Penguins is bigger than Savard vs. Cooke.

The bitter taste of the Bruins choke job Saturday night is still in our mouths. Bruins "luck out" a bit tonight if you can even call it that. Sidney Crosby is sidelined with a mild concussion. You would think that would be a good thing for the Bruins. We're not so sure.

Our dear Bruins have a tendency to relax or not show up for games. If they go into this thinking they'll have an easier time not having to worry about Crosby, Malkin is probably going to just crap in their mouths (assuming his knee is good). Penguins aren't all flash. They're gritty, they hit and they can fight. Bruins are in for one hell of a game tonight. We can only hope they decide to show up.

After the jump... Bruins struggling mentally, both teams hate the Wild and the Canadiens and Chara SMASH!

Boston Bruins need some Mike Wallace

Written by Justin on .

Boston Bruins need to play a full 60-minutes, Mike Wallace style

Boston Bruins need to play a full 60 minutes.

Sound familiar?

Maybe because we've been talking about the Bruins talking shifts, games, weeks off since October. Last night was just another game in which the Bruins played a strong portion of the game, but not the full game.

People have been saying it's Julien's job the Bruins aren't putting in a full effort. The "Fire Julien!" crowd have started lighting their torches, the pitchforks are being sharpened. Still consider: 1) Bs are still in first in Northeast, 3rd in East. Let's not panic yet; 2), who do you replace Julien with?
Our recommendation (if we had to make one) -- Mike Wallace.

Seriously. Maybe he can get the Bruins to play a full 60 minutes.

See what we did there?

Look on the brightside, the powerplay sucks, they take games off and yet, despite their worst efforts, they're still in first place. That's the silver lining. But that doesn't excuse the shitty play the Bruins tend to fall into from time-to-time -- almost on a nightly basis if feels like sometimes.

We hate sounding like a broken record but the Bruins not fighting for 60 minutes is the Bruins #1 problem.

WTF Bruins. Habs win.

Written by Justin on .

Sorry, but this recap is going to be short. We're not in much of a recap mood after this game.

Simply put: Bruins should've won this. How do you blow a two goal lead with three minutes left in the game?

AngryBruinsFan had this right:
All of a sudden, Boston took their foot of off the gas pedal and took a “prevent defense” type approach where they would bleed the clock and win the game. The issue is that THIS TYPE OF PLAY DOESN’T WORK. Bruins fans who have paid attention over the past few years can attest that Claude Julien’s system at the end of games does not work.
We're not exactly on the "Fire Claude" bandwagon, but shit's not right. It's the same ol' story. Bruins are making guys like Murph and Haggs job easy. We're 99.9% sure they already know what quotes they're going to be fed about another letdown. Hell, they could repurpose any quote/story from earlier in the year and just change the team name.

There's no space for prevent defense, no room to take the foot off the metaphorical gas pedal in today's NHL. You play and you play hard a full 60 minutes. You let up for a sec and shit like tonight happens. You need to pepper more shots on Price. Pathetic.

Chara was in another post-game scrum. More "Suspend him!" BS being spewed. They might be right. The push was borderline at worse. Might've been a little extra of a dig, but we're not entirely convinced. It definitely wasn't bad enough to cause this firestorm, though.

Zdeno Chara

We're glad Chara shows some fight, but it'd be nice if it happened during the game. Post-game does nothing but give opponent's fans fodder.

Game Day: Bruins vs. Canadiens - F the French

Written by Jon on .

Ahhh... the Canadiens. We love this rivalry. Too bad the Bruins don't anymore.

Is it just us, or has something been different with the rivalry over the past year? The Bruins don't seem to get up for it anymore. So far this season they've played some really lazy, uninspired hockey against the Habs. Maybe the new guys aren't well versed on the rivalry. Who knows. But...

Last game seemed to reignite the flames a little bit. Krejci punched out Cammalleri. KREJCI!

Montreal fans can cheer all they want because Cammalleri got the take down but Krejci won that fight. Look at lil Mikey's bloody face. Funny Cammalleri didn't really connect until Krejci was on the ground. Classic Habs. Pansies.

But that wasn't all. Nope. That P.K. Subban fellow crushed Brad Marchand. Marchand would even end up missing a few games. Then Subban slew footed Campbell after the hit and somehow Campbell got a roughing penalty. Refs are idiots. Montreal players and fans continue to be pansies.

Was that the game the reignites the fires of the rivalry? Or are we going to see the Bruins fall flat again when the stakes are raised?

After the jump... Carey Price is a douche, Horton might be out and some game day links.......
