Because it was such a sweet save, we felt the need to post the video of Tuukka Rask's diving save from last night on Wild's Martin Havlát.
We just came a little in our pants.

The Boston Globe does these weekly "Caption Contest"...errr... contests, involving cartoons one of their artists draws. This week involves the above image: two Boston Bruins figure skating.
We haven't seen moves like that since Kenny Wu.
One bitter Sabres fan did tell us to "go watch figure skating" after the Chara vs. Sabres brawl a few weeks back. Maybe they are on to something?
Obviously if you have a good caption idea, head over to Boston.com and enter; we think you win a prize (not 100% sure). Mostly likely the Globe will only take the "family friendly" replies and publish them on their site, but this pic is leaving doors wide open. Leave your captions in the comment field here, so we all can enjoy our juvenile humor.
Greg is the newest member of Days of Y'Orr. He's our big midseason pick-up. What can we say? Purrgeron is a master orator and negotiator. Anyways, this is Greg's first piece for DOY so be gentle (or at least use lube). We're hoping his writing and ranting will be a weekly Wednesday feature on the site. For more Greg, follow him on Twitter @Pez5611 and read this other blog, Angry Bruins Fan.
I really like this new place. I don't know if it is just the new digs of the fung shui of the drapes, but whatever is going on here is okay with me.
Welcome to the weekly segment here at Days of Y'Orr called "You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?". Yes, it is a complete rip-off from Family Guy, but what are you going to do about it? As I mentioned, this will be a weekly segment on Days of Y'Orr where I'll begin to vent frustrations on the Bruins and anything else hockey related.
You know what really grinds my gears?
Who do you think you are with your complaining about the World Juniors being held in
It is apparent the
More on Canada hockey and other Random Thoughts from Greg after the jump.... do it up...
Days of Y'Orr beat reporter and General Manager Patrice Purrgeron's phone has been blowing up the past few weeks as he explored the free agent market and tried to work out deals with other GMs for trades.
Several days ago, talks with one particular free agent heated up, and apparently Mr. Purrgeron was able to strike a deal. We now take you live to the press conference.
After the jump, thanks to Purrgeron's expert negotiations, Days of Y'Orr welcomes another staff member.....

Rumor has it that Claude Julien is starting Tuukka Rask tonight after yanking him after one period against Buffalo.
We said it the other day and we'll say it again, pulling Tuukka after one period of sloppy play was retarded. Rask let in one softie; the rest can be written off to rust and sloppy play in front of him.
Some quotes from Julien on Tuukka:
“Yesterday we had to settle the game down and we looked a little rattled. With Tim going in we thought it would settle things down a little. [Rask] was fighting the puck a little."
Clearly putting a tired Timmy in didn't do anything. Would've been better to see if Rask settled down in the second. He hadn't worked in over two weeks for shit's sake.
''I'd say it's more confidence now...head stuff,'' said Julien, asked if he felt Rask's struggles were rooted in mechanics or confidence. ''Mechanically, he's a sound goaltender...he needs to build his confidence back up.''
Which would be a huge help if he got, y'know, some reps in beyond one period.
“We need him. We can’t have just one goalie.’’
Ugh... sorry, Claude, but that's exactly what you've been doing since mid-December.
This isn't to sound like we're anti-Thomas. We love Timmy the Tank, but he admitted feeling fatigued after the Thrasher's game. And Rask can't grow as a goalie and competitor if he a) doesn't get his reps in in-action and b) when he does he gets pulled. Julien showed 0 confidence in Rask the other day and it's unwarranted since Rask's Save% would be among the best in the league if he had enough starts.
Our prediction: Tuukka Rask pulls Claude Julien after the first.

We're still not sure what the hell to make of this game. It's one of those games that you think is really good until you realize that both teams are just trying to see who can play the sloppiest. It was, to say the least... interesting.
There was a tough decision to make after the first period, with the Winter Classic game postponed to 8 tonight, we found ourselves at a bit of a crossroads.
Ultimately we decided to switch back and forth between both, so if there are a few details missing here and there, that's why.
Poor Rask and Thomas tonight. As I'm sure you've heard by now, Rask was pulled after the first period. Not only does this rob Rask of some much needed playing time, but takes away some much needed rest for Thomas. We understand sending a message to your team, but we're going to have to totally disagree with Julien on this one (especially since at that point, Boston was still up). A move like that just leaves both goalies out to dry.
After the jump, a breakdown of the period, and the Rask watch goes into the red! Add a comment
Rask will start tonight.
Tuukka Rask will start (today) against Buffalo at HSBC Arena. Rask has been Tim Thomas's backup for the last seven games.
"Did [Thomas] look a little bit tired? Maybe," Claude Julien said of last night's starter. "I still saw him making some big saves at crucial times. He played a decent game. When you look back at Timmy and the number of games he's won for us this year, there's no doubt about anything we did with him." --Boston.com
We're personally surprised this hasn't happened already. Last two games we've expected Tuukka to start. Last time Tuukk played was Dec. 15th. against the Sabres.
It's now January 1st.
Listen, we love Thomas here. He's a big reason the Bruins are where the Bruins are in the standings, but the guy's only human.
