Serious question: Does the Wahbulance just stay parked outside Alain Vigneault's house these days? He bitched and moaned all through the Stanley Cup Finals, putting no blame on his players for their mistakes (a huge reason why the 'Nucks lost, by the way). Now he's still crying, this time about a hit on Maxim Lapierre, comparing it to the Rome-Horton hit.
"I look at Murray's hit on Lapierre tonight. If that is not exactly what Aaron Rome did last year -- it is, and it's probably .2 [or] .3 seconds later than what Romer did to Horton."
Wayne Simmonds is just paying it forward we guess -- though not in the way the phrase is meant. Few days after having a banana thrown at him, Simmonds finds himself at the other end of the hate stick while exchanging verbal pleasentries with Sean Avery.
We're pretty sure Simmonds wasn't saying "Hucking Haggis" in that video. Here's video of Avery's pro-gay marriage PSA.
Not that one incident negates the other, yelling out a homophobic slur for everyone to see after being at the receiving end of some discrimination yourself is a head scratcher.
Question that remains: Is calling someone a "fucking faggot" worth only a fine or a few games suspension under the Shanahan regime?
Bill Simmons really is just the fucking worst. Remember: It's bloggers who can't get facts right, not MSM. Can't tell us he didn't read passed past the by-line... ok maybe he didn't get that far. What a 'loo.
Not sure what's worse: Marchand getting "champions" spelled incorrectly on his body or Bill getting Marchand's name wrong on a tweet about Marchand getting "champions" spelled incorrectly on his body.
Huge fucking Boston sports fan though.
We're assuming BS stands for the standard "Bull Shit" since that's all Simmons is good at these days.
On the other hand, it's good to know that Brado and his brother Andrew are talking again after that awkward bathroom incident over the summer.
Simmons is a HUGE Bruins fan though. Just ask Andrew Marchand and Patrick Beverly.
This picture has been touring the Internets. Sadly we have no idea who to give credit too since everyone's RT their friends who RTing it and not the original source. Sorry whoever it is! But thanks for spreading the love. If anyone does know, let us know. We know Bish tweeted a different angle this morning.
Edit: Apparently Lucic's gf tweeted the image? Who the hell is stalking Looch's gf on twitter and why?
But here's the first image of the Boston Bruins names engraved on the Stanley Cup.
Few things we're enjoying/amused/intrigued by:
The first half the list is front office management people. Don't even get to a player name until half way down.
Bergy went with Patrice Bergeron-Clearly. An interesting call but we approve.
What? Colin Campbell didn't get his name on the Cup? But everyone was telling us how he's the reason Boston won it all!
No Kampfer. Sorry BAMpFer lovers. Maybe this year.
So we missed on last game's recap, but in our defense, we were busy planning an assault on the Bruins' Fan Relations offices in an attempted to get our god damn season tickets that still have yet to be delivered!!
Well here's your recap, we promise that we'll start caring more once the regular season starts. Good to see the Bruins spreading the scoring wealth though:
Last time the Bruins played in the Garden it was Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals. Here are the highlights for that, just to refresh your memory.
Beautiful. Seems fitting that Thomas will start tonight. Guy deserves the standing ovation he's going to get tonight.
The Bs looked sluggish against the Sens Tuesday night but to be fair they had a scrimmage the night before and, hey, it's preseason. Julien gave the team a day off from practice yesterday so they should have a bit more energy in the tank tonight.
After the jump... projected roster, game day links and your game day video...

Bruins dropped their first preseason game of the year. NBD.
Bruins were able to kill a 6-on-4 PP for the few seconds it happened (that's not a typo).
Great to see Shawn "Wayne" Thornton back on the ice. Don't be fooled. He could've scored on that slapshot if he wanted, but he felt like boosting MacDermid's confidence a bit and let him burry the rebound for a goal.
Also, let it be known that the first Bruins goal of the new season had #22 with the helper. When Twos brings home the Art Ross trophy at the end of the season, you can pinpoint this game as the start.
Sometimes you live in a place where you can't get NESN. Sometimes you're just too poor to get cable. Or maybe you want to hear Don Cherry talk between intermissions. We get it.
Here are some sites that have live feeds we use to watch Boston Bruins games online.
if you know of some other sites. We recommend Ad Blockers for these sites so you don't accidently click one and download something nasty.
Our new favorite online feed for games is Serious Sports TV. They've set up a dedicated feed to air all the Boston Bruins regular season and playoff games onlne. Their feed is fantastic. You just need a good ad blocker to enjoy it without any hassle. We recommend using Ad Blocker Plus. Here's the page:
Bruins take on the Senators for their first preseason game of the year. Senators looked like an OHL-level team against the Maple Leafs earlier this week (maybe 'cause they were playing OHL-level players). We'll see what they throw out at Boston tonight.
Things to look for this preseason:
- Who takes over Mark Recchi's spot? Some people reading this blog probably don't remember an NHL without Recchi. This'll be their first taste at what it's like. Who takes over Rex's spot on the Bergy-Marchand line and who gets his 'A' will be something to look out for - Thomas vs. Rask. It was an issue last preseason and will be again. It'll be an annual thing until Thomas retires. - Benoit Pouliot. We want to like Benoit, so we can do as many Chris Benoit photoshops as possible. Question is: will he show Montreal they made a mistake in letting him go or will he end up like Ryder -- lots of potential but little to show for it. Also, will he and Jack Edwards kiss and make up?
Team DOY is still waiting for its season tickest to come in. Not sure what the deal is. We don't even have a ticket rep anymore. Bruins have screwed our ticket package up every year we've had season tickets three seasons back, so we're half-expecting something to have gone wrong with them... As long as this doesn't turn into another Shawn Thornton jersey fiasco we'll be stoked.
In short: Bruins fan relations suck. But their Opening Night tickets are fucking sweet.
